It seems we hit the ground running! But then, we always do!! Already, have given an update to our Youth Girls SS Class, spoken at our monthly Ladies' meeting this past Sat. morning, and started a new ministry for the youth girls on campus here, with our first meeting of the Turagus this past Sat. evening. At the same time, Jim also has spoken at the monthly Men's meeting, and is enjoying being back in the pulpit again here at Haven of Rest Baptist Church.
The first week we were back, he got all of the Lae Baptist Bible College classes & teachers scheduled, and the students are now into their 2nd week of school, for the 2011 school year, which always begins in mid-Feb. and ends in mid-Nov. Jim teaches 5 days a week in the college, but I have a break, as my Child Evangelism class isn't scheduled until next quarter.
This past week was a very busy one as we prepared for our 25th Annual LBBC Graduation, that was just held on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 27. There were grades to finalize, honor students marked, and graduates' gifts & certificates to get ready. I was busy with robe fittings and ironing & distributing the LBBC special event uniforms to all the students & staff. This was our 2010 Graduation ceremony, that they had voted to postpone until our arrival back on the field. It was a wonderful day, and the building was decorated with traditional palm fronds, beautiful tropical flowers, and overflowing with about 500 or more in attendance. Later, all of the graduates, staff, & visiting alumni were treated to a nice dinner at one of the Chinese restaurants in town. They don't have a lot of restaurants here, but they do have some of the best Chinese over here!!
Jim has also had a steady stream of visiting pastors & preachers in & out of his office all week long, all former LBBC graduates, working in various remote places around the country. A lot of them come down for Graduation, and they always have something they 'need to talk with the missionary' about! You would not BELIEVE some of their stories from some of these remote areas!! You would not BELIEVE some of the stories that have happened right here in Lae even. I'm just glad we had friends & family back there that are praying for us, and that we have a wonderful God that hears & answers prayer! Our love to each of you!!

Hello Fellow Bloggers!
This is my first attempt at blogging. Thought it might be something new to try as we get ready to head back to PNG soon. Kind of hard to set things up from over there, with the limited internet - so figured now was a good time to get it in place. Hopefully, this can serve to help keep our family & friends informed of what's going on while we're on the field. Looking forward to our Christmas break with Sara, and spending some quality time with her before we head overseas again after the first of the year.
